Stand in for the Stars

I have just quoted the part of the article for Jackie but in the rest of the article (+photos) you can read about Jet Li, Andy Lau, Michelle Yeoh, Zhang Ziyi and Gong Li.
1. Jackie Chan

Love action movies, but also love Jackie Chan, Big Brother, thus have led to a strong desire for knowledge. In fact, the notion that Jackie Chan is a substitute, and he is "Long Ge" - Li Haiqing. Haiqing the cow thing is that a photo with Jackie Chan, Big Brother, he does not care. Li Haiqing martial arts skills were also very similar looks and Jackie Chan. His upper body naked, muscular, pointing the lens, eyes fierce, and Jackie Chan temperament quite fit, so Jackie Chan has always been a special stand-in. Haiqing in the studio, the staff were respectfully called him "Long Ge," but to take the salaries of the Long Ge Long Ge is only a fraction of truth. Deity Jackie Chan were filming in the body is a result of injuries, Haiqing is all over the body scars, fractures only commonplace, but who would know him?

Interesting ...

Ok so the trailer is old hat because we have all seen the movie ... but you can also listen to some of the soundtrack - and I have to admit the music from The Forbidden Kingdom is pretty good.

LINK THINGY

And because I actually LOVE the posters ....

Here is a link to all the posters for The Forbidden Kingdom

But looking at these again makes me think this would have made an incredible fantasy film.

BEIJING, July 30 (Xinhua) -- A film about the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC), starring more than 100 big-name mainland and Hong Kong actors and actresses, is to premiere on the mainland and in Hong Kong and Taiwan in September.

A short piece about Jet Li's cameo

Info at IMdB

An article from March on ifeng.com stated that Jackie would not be considered for a part along with Stephen Chow. Apparently minds were changed since then because here you can read Jackie's account of filming the cameo (he plays a journalist) and see a photo of him in costume.

A video of MV for the film can be seen here.
A brief review of Jaycee's new Movie - Chasing Shadow

Parody alive and well

Hong Kong actor Francis Ng's maiden directorial work Tracing Shadow (Zhui Ying), which will premiere tomorrow, satirizes three superstars in a hilarious way.

The film stars three copycats of Jackie Chan, Jet Li and Andy Lau. The copycat Chan always encourages people to buy traditional Chinese clothes, something he does in real life, too. The quasi-Li promotes life buoys, saying a tsunami could happen even in the desert, a nod to Li's own survival of a tsunami and the establishment of his charity foundation in response. The mimic Lau scares children with his horrible singing, which may irritate the star whose singing skills have been criticized for many years.

Ng said he wasn't worried about offending the stars. He said Lau loves singing, and Hong Kong people have got used to his voice. He said he doesn't understand why people should wear the traditional clothes Chan promotes. As for Li's foundation, he says it is never an easy job to do charity work, but being made fun of may be part of it.
